This may be a far-fetched Christmas wish…oh, wait, we are not meant to say “Christmas” anymore. So, let’s just call it a holiday wish then.
Anyway, my holiday wish for all of America is that we can somehow regain our ability to think for ourselves.
It has been a very long time since America has seen a political divide as intense as we are witnessing today.
Sure, differences in polices and opinions on the best direction for the country are partially to blame.
But those differences have existed throughout most of our history yet we have never had such a cult-like political atmosphere in this country.
No, these difference are largely manufactured and are the result of hugely successful marketing campaigns (aka mind-control campaigns) conducted by BOTH parties throughout the past 15 years or so.
As marketing science has improved and expanded it has made its way into the political arena and the leadership of both parties have come to the realization that if they can control the minds of their party members, they will possess intense and unwavering support complete with full rein to literally do whatever they want without fear of repercussions.
For any politician, such a situation was but a dream 30-40 years ago.
It has now become a reality.
In a recent Monmouth University poll, 63% of republicans said that there was nothing Donald Trump could do that would change their support of him.
This is simply incredible.
Trump has won the political game.
He literally owns the minds of more than 6 out of 10 republicans, and as such, has acquired the ability to do whatever he wants without any fear whatsoever of his party turning on him.
This is a politician’s dream.
In a poll conducted by The Economist late last month, 55% of republicans said that Trump is already a better president than Lincoln.
Wow, is all I can say to that one.
And it is not just on the republican side.
In another Monmouth University poll, 64% of Democrats surveyed said that Barack Obama was a better president than George Washington.
Obama was a better president than our nation’s first ever president who laid the groundwork for more than 200 years of success as a nation?
This has gone too far.
These politicians have used marketing and mind-control tactics to literally own the minds or large portions of this nation, and it needs to stop.
Folk’s, these are politicians we are talking about.
At the end of the day they don’t care about you or me.
They care about money and power, and that is about it.
These people are not family, they are not team members and they in no way, shape or form deserve our unyielding blinded support.
This holiday season, we all need to wake up, throw some cold water on our faces, turn off the propaganda networks, aka CNN and FOX, and get back to the basics of thinking for ourselves.
Regain our ability to see that the color blue is actually the color blue and that the world is not flat.
You know, the truth wrapped up in a nice holiday package of common facts.
Now, I must admit that I don’t have much hope for this wish, but I guess that is why it is called a wish and not simply an ask.
I mean just look at what happens to people when they leave cults. They often need to go through months and even years of reverse engineering their minds to simply regain the most basic of all human traits – the ability to think for themselves.
So I am not overly optimistic that members of our two political cults will be able to cut the tight leash these politicians have around their necks all in one swift swoop.
But we can at least start the process, and perhaps that is my ultimate wish for all Americans this holiday season.
Good luck to you all and God bless this wonderful nation of ours (can I still say “God bless”?).
